Bear Mountain State Park in Rockland and Orange counties will undergo a $25 million renovation starting after Labor Day.
Gov. Kathy Hochul says the project will add a new accessible playground, expand picnic areas, and increase restroom facilities.
The state released renderings Tuesday showing the planned upgrades, which are expected to take two years to complete.
The park will remain open during construction, though some restrictions will be in place.
