A New Rochelle man is under arrest for impersonating a federal agent.
New Rochelle police say they performed a traffic stop Thursday and arrested 48-year-old Manrique Perez.
Detectives had an open investigation on someone alleged to have a gun and to have made comments about being a federal agent.
Detectives saw Perez early Thursday afternoon, and during the stop, Perez identified himself as a federal agent.
They say further investigation revealed Perez had a stolen gun and federal law enforcement badges.
Perez is facing felony charges for criminal impersonation and criminal possession of a weapon and stolen property.
