A New Rochelle man has been convicted of firing a gun at police officers in Getty Square in Yonkers in 2020.
A federal jury in White Plains deliberated for two days, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office.
Police tried to pull Darren Smith over for violations, which led to a chase.
Several shots were fired, but no one was injured.
Smith was also convicted of use of a firearm and possession of a weapon as a felon.
The jury was deadlocked on an attempted murder charge against Smith.
On Tuesday, the prosecution said they would not re-try him on that count.
A sentencing date has not been set.
