New Rochelle police say they arrested a 17-year-old in connection to a shots-fired incident Friday night outside a Burger King.

They said the incident occurred at 33 La Count Place and Anderson Street.

According to detectives, the suspect suffered a cut in a dispute that led up to the shots-fired incident.

When they arrived on scene, police say they recovered a 9mm shell casing on the sidewalk.

Officers arrested the suspect after they chased him on foot.

Police say the suspect now faces multiple charges, including criminal possession of a weapon.

In a statement, the representative of the New Rochelle Business Improvement District, James O'Toole, told News 12, "I am extremely disturbed after hearing about shots being fired outside of New Roc City and Anderson Plaza. Many people use this area including children."

O'Toole urges anyone with information about the incident to contact New Rochelle police at 914-654-2300.
