? Congress passed a new education stimulus plan Wednesday night that will bring the nation?s school districts some big money.
The bill will give administration and schools across the country about $150 billion in federal spending.
Officials say the two-year investment plan will more then double the Department of Education?s budget.
In the Bronx, school systems, child care centers, colleges and universities could see some of the funding.
The director of the Highbridge Head Start program located at 880 River Ave. says they could use the money.
?The big thing is training and to make sure the funds are available to train the staff that will be working with the children,? says Kenneth Golden.
The economic package plan was voted on and passed Wednesday night.
