A judge has ordered a new trial for a woman convicted of killing a security guard and two Nyack police officers during the 1981 robbery of a Brinks truck in Nanuet.
Judith Clark, 56, was one of the heavily armed terrorists convicted in 1983 of robbing and killing a Brinks security guard at the Nanuet Mall then shooting and killing two Nyack police officers as the suspects attempted to get away on the Thruway. Family members of the slain officers say the pain is still a part of their lives.
A federal judge in New York has ordered Rockland prosecutors to retry Clark, stating she was not properly represented during the trial. Rockland District Attorney Mike Bongiorno says the self-proclaimed revolutionaries didn't want representation back then. Bongiorno is appealing the judge?s decision.
