New Windsor police: Injured hiker rescued in San Giacomo Park

Stephen Cobb went missing while hiking with his dog at San Giacomo Park just before noon.

A hiker is recovering after a tree fell on him during a hike in Orange County Thursday afternoon. Stephen Cobb went missing while hiking with his dog at San Giacomo Park just before noon.
New Windsor police found the 60-year-old's car parked in the lot but no sign of him.
A K-9 unit searched the grounds while state police searched from the skies.
Aviation officials found Cobb injured on the ground along Little Britain Road just before 2 p.m.
Police say Cobb was hit by a falling tree and could not walk.
He was later treated for broken ribs, punctured lungs and a fractured pelvis at taken to St. Luke's Hospital.
