City of Newburgh Police announced early Wednesday morning that they would resume searches for 4-year-old Marc Bookal who's been missing since December.
Lt. Charles Broe, Sr., says the department is reopening the searches not based upon any specific pieces of information. He says "based upon where we are in the investigation, we feel it is necessary to go back and re-canvass some of the areas we've covered during the colder winter months."
Bookal went missing on Dec. 14 while in the care of Cory Byrd, an ex-con and Bookal's mother's boyfriend. The child has not been seen or heard from since.
