Police in Newburgh are looking for the owner of a pit bull that was found tied up and chained with a lock around its neck in the woods.
Authorities say the dog was found Wednesday by firefighters near a makeshift shelter, while helping police with a welfare check.
News 12 was told the pit bull was taken to a nearby animal hospital and that adopters are wanted.
