Newburgh residents offered 2nd round of blood testing for PFOS

The Defense Department has taken responsibility for toxic firefighting foam flowing from the Air National Guard Base at Stewart Airport into Newburgh's former reservoir, Washington Lake.

State health officials are now offering Newburgh residents a second round of blood testing for PFOS.
The Defense Department has taken responsibility for toxic firefighting foam flowing from the Air National Guard Base at Stewart Airport into Newburgh's former reservoir, Washington Lake.
Residents who wish to be tested should call the state Health Department at 518-402-7950.
The testing period expires on Thursday, Feb. 29.
