Newburgh school officials say several students at a K-8 school received medical attention last week after it's believed they ingested one or more products that may have contained an illegal substance.
The district sent an alert home to Temple Hill Academy parents on Friday.
They confirm to News 12 that several children at the elementary and middle school building got sick on Thursday and had to go to the nurse.
One of the students was taken to the hospital.
District officials wouldn’t comment on the conditions of the children and wouldn’t say what exactly the students may have taken.
