Hudson Valley Business and News 12 Hudson Valley are teaming up to bring viewers and readers the best in local business news, which means stories featured in the paper will also be shown to the News 12 viewer.
News 12 went behind the scenes of Westchester?s most closely read business publication to see the newsroom hustle and bustle. Reporters for both Westchester County Business Journal and Hudson Valley Business were turning their notes into articles, readying them for publication at the White Plains office.
?You can find information about businesses in various publications but in the WCBJ all the information is in one place. We are virtually the only source of business news,? Executive Editor Caryn McBride says.
McBride says Westchester and Hudson Valley are hotbeds for the business community. She says the papers cater to readers who range from small business entrepreneurs to the CEOs of Fortune 500 companies.
WCBJ was started 50 years ago by a former Wall Street Journal editor and member of the Pulitzer family. This year Westfair Communications, which publishes WCBJ, launched Hudson Valley Businesses to cover other parts of the region.
Publisher Dee DelBello says News 12 and WCBJ compliment each other in the partnership. ?You?re going to get a more complete picture,? publisher Dee DelBello says.
News 12 News Director Janine Rose agrees. ?We are so very excited about this partnership. It's going to allow us to take the resources of the business journals as well as the resources of News 12 and combine them to provide business news for our viewers and our readers,? she says.
