News 12 to Host Five Political Debates in October
Long Island, New York (October 1, 2024) - News 12, the preeminent hyperlocal news source across the Tri-state area, announced today they will be hosting an additional five political debates for local elections in both New York and New Jersey. Each debate will feature pre-submitted questions from News 12 viewers. Details on each of the debates are as follows:
Rep. Tom Suozzi (D) vs. Michale LiPetri Jr. (R, C) in New York’s 3rd Congressional District
  • The debate will air on Tuesday, October 8 at 9pm ET on News 12 Long Island and will be moderated by News 12’s Rich Barrabi, Host of “Power & Politics” and co-anchor of “Mornings on News 12” in Long Island. Viewers can submit questions here.
Rep. Anthony D’Esposito (R) vs. Laura Gillen (D) in New York’s 4th Congressional District
  • The debate will air on Tuesday, October 15 at 9pm ET on News 12 Long Island and will be moderated by News 12’s Rich Barrabi, Host of “Power & Politics” and co-anchor of “Mornings on News 12” in Long Island. Viewers can submit questions here.
Rep. Mike Lawler (R) vs. Mondaire Jones (D) in New York’s 17th Congressional District
  • The debate will air on Wednesday, October 16 at 8:30pm ET on News 12 Westchester and will be moderated by News 12’s Tara Rosenblum, Lead Reporter in Westchester. Viewers can submit questions here.
Rep. Andy Kim (D) vs. Curtis Bashaw (R) for U.S Senate in New Jersey
  • The debate will air on Tuesday, October 22 at 8pm ET on News 12 New Jersey and will be moderated by News 12’s Eric Landskroner, Lead Anchor in New Jersey. Viewers can submit questions here.
Rep. Nick LaLota (R, C) vs. John Avlon (D) in New York’s 1st Congressional District
  • The debate will air on Wednesday, October 23 at 8:30pm ET on News 12 Long Island and will be moderated by News 12’s Rich Barrabi, Host of “Power & Politics” and co-anchor of “Mornings on News 12” in Long Island. Viewers can submit questions here.
