Communities across the nation are preparing for protests aimed at the president and his administration.
The gatherings are called "No Kings" protests, and they are taking place across the nation on Saturday.
Local advocate Alan Levy explains what the protests are about.
"We're trying to change the narrative about what Trump is doing in the country. It's been four months of chaos and disruption," Levy says.
Organizers say the protests are being held as a national day of defiance and resilience.
News 12 asked people in the Hudson Valley if they're planning to attend any of them locally.
"Yes. To see the people come out and let him know that he's not in charge," says Keith Lawson, of Yonkers.
"I wouldn't go to any protests," says Toya Whitehurst, of Yonkers.
Saturday is also Flag Day and President Donald Trump's birthday.
A military parade also is set to take place that day in Washington, D.C., as well.
"We're going to be celebrating big on Saturday, and if there's any protesters that wants to come out, they will be met with very big force," President Trump says.
As the nation prepares for both events to take place, News 12 asked local law enforcement agencies how they're getting ready to handle this highly political weekend.
"Like anything, we kind of deal with it as it comes. We have enough assets, both technology and officers, that will be able to monitor and decide at the time if we need to deploy additional resources," says Lt. Mark Gatta, of the Village of Mamaroneck Police Department.
