Orange County officials say 10 drug overdoses happened on Aug. 20 and change is needed.
The alert was posted on the county’s Facebook page.
The alarming statistic was released ahead of Overdose Awareness Day on Aug. 31.
"It’s doing damage to people. Fortunately for us and the public Narcan is now available to people,” says Jeff Ashdown, of Mamakating First Aid Squad.
Free Narcan kits and training are available to the public.
