A group of Hudson Valley nurses are being honored for their dedication and commitment to their patients, along with their jobs.
The City of Yonkers honored the nurses who work for St. Joseph's Medical Center, as part of National Nurses Week.
The honors included recognitions for going above the call of duty, driving innovation, building strong mentoring relationships and showing compassion to patients.
"Nursing as a whole are the people that you call when you're in your moments of doubt, despair but also in your moments of joy and triumph so it's very important for us to celebrate each other because without nurses, the world wouldn't be what it is," says Ann Marie Moynihan, the chief nursing officer at St. Joseph’s Medical Center.
Celebrations continue through the end of the week.
