A rally for an Ossining teenager facing deportation was held Wednesday outside Federal Plaza in Manhattan.
News 12 has learned that Diego Puma, who is being detained by immigration officials, could be deported back to Ecuador as soon as Friday.
The Rev. Jean Walsh lives in Ossining and is one of Puma's supporters. Walsh says Puma is not a criminal and should be able to stay in Ossining to finish high school. Two weeks ago, Immigrations and Customs Enforcement officials arrested Puma and his mom.
ICE officials say the two were told to leave in November because their stay was up. They are now being held in Louisiana.
His supporters say he was trying to seek legal residency in Westchester.
