Police say a woman and her cat were rescued Thursday after officers responded to a 911 call near the base of the Brooklyn Bridge.
The 911 call came in around 2:39 p.m. on April 30, where officers arrived and found the woman yelling for help as the current pulled her away from shore.
FDNY and EMS transported the woman and one officer to local hospitals in stable condition.
Police tell News 12 that there is no indication the woman intended to harm the cat and that the investigation is ongoing.
