President Barack Obama is set to visit Westchester County once again Friday afternoon. The president's visit could mean changes for drivers hitting the roads for the Labor Day holiday weekend.
President Obama is scheduled to land at the Westchester County Airport in Harrison in Air Force One just before 2 p.m. His first stop is expected to be at a home on Emerson Avenue in New Rochelle for a democratic fundraiser.
Drivers are suggested to avoid Main and Huguenot streets from Echo to Emerson Avenue until 6 p.m. Friday.
There will be other roads closures between 1:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. on Interstate 684 between Purchase and Armonk, Interstate 287 between White Plains and Port Chester, and Interstate 95 between Pelham and the Connecticut state line.
President Obama will head to a second fundraiser at the Purchase home of business tycoon Robert Wolf. The cost to attend the fundraiser is more than $32,000 a plate.
There will be more road closures between 9:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. on Interstate 684 between Purchase and Armonk and Interstate 287 and Interstate 87 between the Tappan Zee Bridge and Port Chester.
The president and first lady will be attending the wedding of his senior nutrition advisor Sam Kass and MSNBC talk show host Alex Wagner at Blue Hill at Stone Barns in Pocantico Hills on Saturday.
