An Orange County teen was sentenced to six months in jail for the car crash that caused the death of his friend back in 2009.
Cameron Engels, 19, was also sentenced to five years probation and community service for causing the crash that killed 17-year-old Tyler Kyles.
Engels pleaded guilty to criminally negligent homicide and admitted he was speeding on a slick roadway with bald tires when he slammed into a pole on Crawford Street in Pine Bush.
Before the sentence was handed down, Engels apologized to Kyles' loved ones for the grief he has caused them.
