A police officer under investigation in Orange County for excessive force has now been suspended without pay.
The Town of Wallkill officer, seen on video body slamming a handcuffed suspect in November, had been suspended with pay until a News 12 report yesterday.
Wallkill authorities say the officer, whose name has not been released, was suspended Friday after the leaked video surfaced last week.
Officials say it shows just part of went down during a disturbance call in the parking lot of Garnet Health. They say the man in custody appears to cough on the officer. P
Police are not releasing the details of the arrest or the names of those involved.
