The Spring Valley police officer found not guilty of conspiring against his own department says his life is still a living hell.
A jury found Officer David LeBron innocent Monday of charges he tipped off local bars to drug and prostitution raids. LeBron has been suspended from the Spring Valley Police Department since November 2007.
"I'm very happy with how the criminal trial went and how the judge handled it," LeBron told News 12 Westchester.
But some Spring Valley residents and village officials say they are disappointed with the outcome, arguing that important evidence was excluded.
LeBron still faces dismissal from the police department at a civil service hearing. The 39-year-old went through a three-week trial during in which he testified that his fellow police officers framed him in retaliation for his federal civil lawsuit against the village.
"I'm going to continue to fight and hold each and every person accountable in this retaliation hearing," he says.
