Officials: Man drowns in Spring Valley pond

Officials say search teams were able to locate an unresponsive male in the water who was pronounced deceased by medical personnel.

The Spring Valley Police Department have confirmed that a person drowned at a park on Thursday afternoon.
They say at about 12:40 p.m., the Spring Valley Police Department and the Spring Valley Fire Department responded to a pond located at Memorial Park for a person who was swimming in the water, went under and had not resurfaced.
They say search teams were able to locate an unresponsive male in the water who was pronounced deceased by medical personnel.
The victim is described as a Hispanic male, believed to be approximately 40 years of age, who lived in Spring Valley. Police say they are trying to determine his identity.
