Nearly all 50 chickens and ducks at an Ulster County poultry farm have died from bird flu, according to county officials.

The Ulster County Health Department says it was notified of a positive case of avian influenza at the farm.

All but two birds on the farm died as a result of the virus. The remaining birds were euthanized in order to prevent further spread.

Anyone who came in contact with the birds are being watched by health officials over the next 10 days.
