Officials: Stabbing incident involving Liberty school students under investigation

A stabbing incident Thursday afternoon involving students in the Liberty Central School District is under investigation, officials say.
Liberty police say a 16-year-old was stabbed at approximately 3 p.m. following a report of a fight in progress near Liberty High School on Buckley Street and entered school grounds seeking help after being attacked.
School resource officers provided first aid to the victim, including applying tourniquet to stop severe bleeding from multiple stab wounds, police say.
Responding officers immediately identified two suspects fleeing from the scene and after a short foot pursuit arrested two 15-year-old male juveniles.
Police later located and arrested two additional 17-year-old female juveniles and 18-year-old Ricco Molina, of Liberty. All five individuals were charged with felony assault and gang assault.
Molina is being held in Sullivan County Jail on $10,000 cash bail. Three of the juveniles were released to appear in family court on a later date. Police say a fourth teen, a 15-year-old male, was remanded to the custody of the Office of Children and Family Services at a secure detention facility.
Police say the teenage victim was transported by helicopter to Westchester Medical Center and is in stable but critical condition, as of Thursday.
