A 24-year-old Newburgh man has pled guilty to two counts of criminal possession of a weapon.
The Orange County District Attorney’s Office says Christian Brown admitted that he possessed a loaded handgun, which he discharged at another person in Newburgh on July 6 of 2023.
The individual he fired at was uninjured, according to authorities.
Brown also admitted that he possessed a loaded pistol while outside the Lake Street Apartments in October of 2023. Police say the gun he possessed during this incident was not the same gun he fired in July of 2023.
Authorities say he will be sentenced in July.
