Sullivan County man accused of driving high, causing fatal crash

Shawn Dehaan, 33, was arrested and charged with vehicular manslaughter in the second degree and driving while ability impaired by drugs.

An Sullivan County man is facing a DUI charge in a three-car crash that left one man dead.
Shawn Dehaan, 33, was arrested and charged with vehicular manslaughter in the second degree and driving while ability impaired by drugs.
The deadly crash happened last August in the Town of Crawford.
Investigators say 39-year-old Jeffery Griffin, of Pine Bush, was killed when Dehaan's vehicle failed to stop for a red light and struck two other vehicles.
Griffin was the front seat passenger in one of them.
He was rushed to Garnet Hospital, where he died from his injuries.
