An Orange County post office is back open after closing abruptly over the summer.
People in the community were upset because there were many older people who relied on the Westbrookville Post Office to get medications and important documents.
Assemblyman Karl Brabenec said at the time USPS was violating its contract by not providing 60 days' notice.
Not long before the closure, USPS announced consolidation plans for Orange and Dutchess counties.
Rep. Pat Ryan started a campaign to save the Westbrookville Post Office.
