Our Lady of Mercy School in Hicksville announced Tuesday that it will be closing down after nearly 60 years.
The Catholic Diocese of Rockville Centre says the school will close at the end of the 2019-2020 school year.
Officials say a drop in enrollment and the decline in tuition made running the school unsustainable.
