New York State Park Police says an occupied police car was hit while trying to help a disabled car on the Palisades Parkway.

Official say another driver hit the cruiser from behind.

The driver and the park police officer inside the cruiser were both taken to the hospital, treated and released with relatively minor injuries.

Park police say it's a reminder to follow the state's Move Over Law - slow down and move over when you see lights, vests or reflectors.
