Part of the Saw Mill River Parkway is shut down in both directions, due to what Westchester County police say is a defect in the pavement.
As of Sunday night police, say the parkway is closed from Lawrence Avenue, on the border of Ardsley and Dobbs Ferry, through Farragut Avenue in Hastings-on-Hudson.
A post on the Hastings-on-Hudson Facebook page says all traffic lanes are closed from Exit 12, Farragut Avenue, to Lawrence Avenue due to a road collapse.
All traffic was being rerouted to Saw Mill River Road 9A as of Sunday night.
Drivers are advised to allow extra travel time as traffic congestion could be a problem, and to monitor news and email notifications for further updates.
