A social event last year at the Goshen Secure Center, a boys juvenile prison, is under investigation by state officials.
Officials say socials are held periodically at the facility and residents that have shown good behavior earn the right to attend. The parties are supervised with music, food and outside guests.
But at the Dec. 12, 2009 event, allegations have surfaced that sexual acts may have been performed at the party.
After learning about the allegations, State Sen. Catherine Young (R-Olean) is calling for the resignation of Gladys Carrion, who heads the state Office of Children and Family Services.
The state's Commission of Correction says it plans to release a report on the alleged incident in the next few weeks.
