Rollover crash destroys car in Ulster County
2ds agoA pedestrian was fatally struck by a car Monday night on Violet Avenue in Hyde Park.
Police say Lawrence Williams, 76, was crossing the road to his residence at Hyde Park Assisted Living when he was hit by a Jeep Grand Cherokee.
Williams was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver remained on the scene and cooperated with investigators.
Witnesses reported that Williams was not using the crosswalk and was not visible to traffic.
