Police say a 13-year-old boy was shot multiple times in Poughkeepsie.
Deputies from the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office responded to the area of Zimmer Avenue and Elm Place.
Officials say that when officers arrived they found the teen suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
The boy was transported to a hospital with injuries that are not considered life threatening.
News 12 was told detectives located two teens who were seen leaving the area.
Both teens were detained. One was found in possession of a loaded 9mm P-80 polymer "ghost gun."
The teen who allegedly possessed the gun was charged with the felonies of criminal possession of a weapon and assault.
