Moped-riding duo wanted for chain snatching spree

A 24-year-old man from Cortlandt Manor is facing charges for a hit-and-run that killed a woman Friday in Yorktown, according to police.

Authorities say Jake Barak was traveling on East Main Street around 8 p.m. when he struck 42-year-old Jennifer Proeschel. He then allegedly fled the scene.

Proeschel was pronounced dead at a hospital. Police say Barak was arrested a short time later.
