Police: 3 Fox Lane HS students injured in crash with bus suffered life-threatening injuries
Extra clinicians were on hand today in Bedford as four Fox Lane High School students remain in the hospital after a crash with a school bus in New Castle.
New Castle police say a 16-year-old unlicensed driver lost control around a curve Wednesday afternoon and crashed head-on into a Yorktown school bus.
Bedford school officials say the Fox Lane students were coming back from BOCES.
Police say the four students are at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla. They say three of them have life-threatening injuries.
Police say five people were on the bus -- two students, two monitors and the driver. They say they suffered injuries that are not life-threatening.
Detectives from the New Castle Police Department and the Westchester County Accident Investigation Team are looking into the crash.
