Four young men from the Bronx fled on foot early Friday morning after the stolen car they were riding in smashed into a home in Greenwich, police say. They were all put into custody and face a slew of charges.
Greenwich police say patrol officers spotted a Kia Forte “traveling recklessly and at a high rate of speed on Field Point Road.”
“Before officers could attempt to stop it, the vehicle had left the road and struck a house causing significant damage to both the car and the residence,” according to a release from police.
No one in the home was injured during the incident.
The four occupants fled on foot but were soon taken into custody with the help of a Greenwich PD drone and the Westport Police Department K-9 officer.
Police say the Kia was reported stolen and had damage consistent with the Kia Challenge – a trend on TikTok that started in 2022.
The four people arrested were identified as Anthony Izzac Alicea, 21; Jahim Hudson, 20; Keyon McCune, 19; and Brandon Pandiello, 19.
The charges they face include criminal trespassing, criminal mischief, larceny and interfering with a police officer. Pandiello was additionally charged with operating a motor vehicle without a license.
