Two people are recovering from injuries after a fight escalated Friday in Ulster County.

Police say Stephen Coakley, 30, and Travis Thomas, 36, got into a fight at a home on 14 Park Street in the Village of Ellenville.

A witness told police that Coakley was chasing Thomas and hit him in the head with a pipe.

Officials say that's when Thomas allegedly slashed Coakley in the arm with a knife causing multiple lacerations.

Both subjects were treated at the scene and taken to local hospitals.
