Police arrested a man at the Liberty Motel while executing a search warrant as part of a drug bust.
Officers say the search warrant was the result of an ongoing narcotics investigation into the distribution of fentanyl.
Police responded to a series of non-fatal overdoses in January.
When police executed a search warrant, the suspect, Gerrod Prater, ran from officers and threw a clear plastic bag containing fentanyl.
Police found 50 grams of fentanyl, 30 grams of cocaine and narcotic packaging material.
Prater, of Liberty, was charged with four counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance
