Police: Man charged for stealing catalytic converters at Rhinebeck festival

Several catalytic converters were stolen outside of the Sheep and Wool Festival hosted by the Dutchess County Fairgrounds on Oct. 16.

A Wappinger man has been arrested for stealing catalytic converters in Rhinebeck.
Several catalytic converters were stolen outside of the Sheep and Wool Festival hosted by the Dutchess County Fairgrounds on Oct. 16.
Rhinebeck investigators later arrested George Foster and charged him with auto stripping and grand larceny, among other charges.
Police say Foster entered the Fairgrounds parking areas and removed the catalytic converters from three Honda Elements.
