Police say a man is facing multiple charges for impersonating an NYPD officer.
They say on May 9, they were called to a residence in the Village of Montebello for a suspicious vehicle parked in a driveway. When officers arrived, they found a 24-year-old man wearing the NYPD sweatshirt and gun belt.
The man claimed to be an officer with an NYPD ID card and shield on him. Through investigation, police found the card and shield to be fraudulent.
One of the charges against the man includes impersonating a public servant.
