Police are searching for shooting suspect in New Rochelle.

Police responded to the area of 311 North Ave. around 1 p.m. to reports of two people shooting at each other.

Police say a 22-year-old who was shot was found in possession of a firearm. He was taken to a hospital in serious but stable condition.

The second suspected shooter fled prior to police arriving.

Police did not detail any information about arrests.

Anyone with information about the incident is urged to call police.
