Police are now investigating the suspicious death of a Lake Peekskill man as a homicide.
Although police have not confirmed the man's identity, neighbors say the body found Monday was that of Richard McKeon. They say the 86-year-old World War II vet was a nice guy who liked to talk about his time in the service.
Neighbors say when they had not seen him for a few days they became worried. That's when neighbor Hank Henry discovered McKeon's lifeless body inside his home on Fordal Place.
Investigators say McKeon died from blunt force trauma. Police are looking for a person of interest in the case.
