Police in Orange County are investigating two bank robberies that occurred within hours of each other Tuesday.
According to police, two suspects entered the TD Banknorth on Route 211 in Wallkill around 1 p.m. Police say one of the suspects passed a note to the teller demanding cash. The robbers got away with nearly $2,000.
Police say earlier in the day, the Bank of America on Route 300 in Newburgh was also robbed. In that case, the robber handed a teller a bag and exited with the money to a waiting vehicle.
Police say they don?t believe the two heists are related.
