Police are searching for a gunman who opened fire on East Gun Hill Road during Wednesday morning?s rush hour, sending a woman and possibly another person to the hospital.
According to witnesses, two teenagers were standing at the corner of East Gun Hill Road and Dewitt Place when one of them pulled out a gun and fired three shots, hitting a 40-year-old woman who was standing at a bus stop in the arm. According to unconfirmed reports, an 18-year-old was also shot.
The gunman then ran toward the Gun Hill Road train station, prompting police to stop the 5 train to investigate. The service was eventually restored.
So far, no arrests have been made in the shooting.
