Police have released new information on a violent religious dispute that left a New Square man severely burned last month. Police reports show that officers were called to the home of burn victim Aron Rottenberg, 43, at least six times, and that large groups of people held protests outside his Truman Avenue home. The report also says Rottenberg's car was damaged and the home's windows were smashed. Rottenberg is recovering after suffering burns on over 50 percent of his body. According to police, Shaul Spitzer, 18, allegedly tried to burn down Rottenberg's house because he failed to worship at the village's main synagogue.1,000 people attend prayer service for New Square arson victimVictim in alleged religious-based arson attack posts video online
