A Yorktown father is recovering from being hit by an ATV, just days before his daughter's wedding.
Ed Moffett, 64, was hit after he asked a group of young adults to stop riding their ATVs and dirt bikes on Hunterbrook Field on Sunday.
News 12 was told one of them drove into Moffett, leaving him with broken bones and an concussion.
"They surrounded him, they started doing circles around him with all the four wheelers, and then as they had him trapped, one of them came along and ran him straight over," says Moffett's son, Andrew.
Andrew Moffett says the injuries will likely prevent him from walking his daughter down the aisle this weekend.
The suspect is expected to be charged with first-degree assault.
Police say it's illegal to ride ATVs and dirt bikes on public property.
Police are asking anyone with additional video or information to email them at info@yorktownpd.org.
