Authorities in Orange County are investigating a string of disturbing larcenies at the beauty retail store Ulta.
Woodbury police say four men stole $13,000 in perfume from an Ulta store on Centre Drive in Woodbury on Tuesday.
They say two of the men were wearing COVID-19-style masks and ran in with empty shopping bags and swiped boxes of perfume off shelves - and ran out within seconds.
A woman who asked that her identity be kept private, said she saw the incident unfold from the parking lot and took notice of the group when she says one of them exposed his genitals.
"They were standing outside of the car. One was urinating," she says. "They were all in black and had masks covering their face. And they had bags. I thought it was suspicious but didn't call 911, which I should have."
The woman snapped a license plate, which police confirm to News 12 is from one of the two vehicles believed to be involved.
Authorities say that the same store location has been hit two other times in recent weeks since March, and that the same group of people could be to blame for those larcenies, as well as other larcenies at Ulta stores in New Jersey.
Officials say no one was hurt during the incident.
A representative for Ulta says they are working with police on the investigation.
