Police say a man was arrested in connection to a Friday night assault in Spring Valley.

Officers say 49-year-old Donald Lane was allegedly involved in an altercation with a 28-year-old man. It happened around West Street and Hoyt Street.

During the incident, police say the suspect punched the victim in the face in front of the victim's wife and two young children.

Lane is charged with assault and endangering the welfare of a child.
