A 19-year-old Sullivan County woman was hospitalized after she was shot multiple times in the head in a Wallkill hotel parking lot late Saturday night.

According to police, the victim was sitting in a car in the parking lot of the Howard Johnson's on Route 211 East when a man approached her car with a handgun and opened fire, shooting her in the eye.

Officials describe the suspect as a 6-foot tall black male, wearing a dark-colored hoodie and driving a grey Nissan Maxima.
